Mark Johnson aka 'MarkyJ' - Vocals and Guitar "I started Playing Guitar when i was 15 after being inspired by Dire Straits, Iron Maiden and Gary Moore. I only started playing with a band in my early twenties. After about 18 months i decided i would like to have a go at singing also and looked to form a band where i could do this. I then started Even After with Mark Rood and here we are a few years later. I am into most sorts of music though my two favourite artists are Nuno Bettencourt originally in Extreme now part of Dramagods and Richie Kotzen an amazing solo performer." |

Rood aka 'Kodii' aka 'Peachwing' - Vocals and
Guitar "At school I tried loads of different instruments, including
the violin, cello, bassoon! but was just given a guitar for a birthday
present. I can't really remember when that was but seems like I've
always been playing. My first real "Idols!" were Mark Knopfler
(probably the reason why I don't use a pick), Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top
(King of pinched harmonics). A friend I met as a choir boy....yes I was
a choir boy!...introduced me to Yes, Rush & one of my favourite
bands, Pink Floyd. He also had a qenuine Fender Strat! So from
PinkFloyd I really got into the melodic ideas in Dave Gilmours
playing....only wish I could emulate them. From there it went a bit
quiet until I found out about the American scene. Eddie Van Halen,
Steve Vai, Ritchie Kotzen, Prince, Reb Beach, Andy Timmons and of
course Mr Satriani!!!. I eventually started the band with Mark after
numerous times meeting up at friends gigs and saying "We'll have to
have a jam sometime!" It's taken us a bit of time getting a really
solid line up but the guys now are great fun to play with &
hopefully we can really get are heads into writing some driving
tunes. The gear I mainly use consists of an Ibanez 1540Ltd Sabre &
Parker Fly Deluxe strung with D'Addario EXL120+, Marshall Anniversary
6101 Combo & Art Apha 2.0 Multiverb." |

Charlie Ridler aka 'charliemouse' - Bass Guitar "Ever since I can remember I have been interested in music. So the first chance I got I started to play guitar, in the guitar club at school. You know the sort of thing "Yellow Submarine", "Let It Be" - it was a start! Eventually I managed to get hold of an electric guitar and started a band [me and some mates hitting guitars in my spare room] which is where I discovered the bass guitar! When the chance came to play bass I jumped at it, sold all my guitars and bought a bass rig. I was hooked. [I love the sound and the freedom.] Several bands later and here I am! I try to listen to as much music as possible and some of my influences are: Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Weather Report, Red Hot Chili Peppers [of course], Pearl Jam, Level 42 [the man is a slap bass god!], Pink Floyd, Faith No More, Alice In Chains, Dream Theater, Muse... how much space have I got!? Basically anything that provokes a response or has some imagination. So that's me. [I think?]" |

Chas
Allen - Drums “I became interested in drums through a friend at school, but didn’t really start playing regularly until I bought a drum kit in the mid 1990's when I worked for a cymbal manufacturer. I was exposed to many different styles of music from an early age and my parents were great music lovers. I am largely self taught, although I have attended some tuition workshops & lessons previously, although influenced by many different musical genres & musicians, my roots are in rock music. My weapons of choice Pearl Drums & Zildjian cymbals.” |
